Kenneth Ray Rogers, affectionately known as "Papa" to his cherished family, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at his home in League City, Texas, surrounded by the warmth of his loved ones. He was 83 years old.

Born on August 21, 1940, in Cardwell, Missouri, to Jesse and Velma Rogers, Kenneth's journey began amidst the rolling fields of a cotton farm, where he learned the values of hard work, integrity, and the importance of family bonds. From those humble beginnings, he embarked on a remarkable life characterized by adventure, compassion, and a relentless pursuit of knowledge.

Kenneth's entrepreneurial spirit blossomed early on, guided by the wisdom passed down through generations. He ventured into various successful business endeavors, each one a testament to his dedication and resilience.

An avid aviator, Kenneth found solace and freedom in the skies, earning his pilot's license in the mid-1970s. His thirst for exploration extended beyond the horizon, leading him to discover new cultures and languages. His passion for learning led him to embrace Spanish and travel across Central and South America, leaving a trail of cherished memories throughout his life.

In the mid-1980s, Kenneth's life took a serendipitous turn when he met his soulmate, Carol M. Rogers, during dance lessons in Houston, Texas. Their union was a testament to the enduring power of love and companionship, enriching each other's lives in ways they never imagined.

Kenneth's enduring love and devotion continue to resonate through the lives of those he held dear. Survived by his cherished wife, Carol M. Rogers, his daughter Maria Rogers-Cooper and son-in-law Melvin Cooper, as well as stepdaughters Kelly Muraco, Tori Ratcliff and her husband, Blake Ratcliff.

Among all of Kenneth’s successes, becoming a grandfather and great grandfather was the most significant milestone. He is survived by his adoring grandchildren, Evan Rogers and his wife, Marcia Rogers, Mekius Girma, Rahel Schafer and her husband Rick Schafer, Alissa Ruiz and husband Matthew Ruiz, Austin Ratcliff and wife Katie Ratcliff. His legacy will continue to flourish as his great-grandchildren, Maddox and Pierce Rogers, Vallen and Vail Schafer, who brought him immense joy, carry it forward. Within his extended family, his niece, Jo Ann Wright, and nephew, Dennis Rogers, held cherished positions in his heart, sharing in both the triumphs and challenges of his life's journey.

While Kenneth's physical presence may have departed, his spirit remains eternally intertwined with the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His family will gather to honor his memory and celebrate his extraordinary life on March 8th at Mary Queen Catholic Church in Friendswood, Texas.

In the tapestry of life, Kenneth Ray Rogers leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished moments, forever etched in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul soar amongst the stars, finding peace in the embrace of eternity.
